It’s Time You Met Antonio Daley

FLSR has seen this guy out on the water more than a few times and we are both excited and proud to introduce our good friend, Tony! He is a real genuine human being and always an enjoyable guy to have on your ride. If you see him on the water, be sure to mention you saw him here!

Antonio: My name is Antonio Daley, but everyone calls me Tony. I was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica and raised in Orlando, FL so I’m a FloGrown Jamerican. When asked what I do for a living, I usually say “as little as possible” but officially, I’m an in-house attorney for an international financial services company.

The only thing I love more than riding is the jet ski community and the “No Ski Left Behind” culture.

Antonio Daley

I grew up riding dirt bikes. Later, I got into sport bikes. But after having 3 kids, I’ve come to the conclusion that I rather fall off of a jet ski than a motorcycle.

I got my first jet ski as a trade in 2019. It was a rust bucket that took months to rebuild just for one ride. That one ride inspired me to get another one. In 2020, I bought a 2013 Sea-Doo GTR 215 which is my current ski. One year and 120 hours later I’m already looking to upgrade.

In May, I rode with the FL Ski Riders for the first time at the 2021 Dunedin Excursion. Exploring new areas and creating awesome memories with over 350 jet skis turned my obsession into an addiction. The only thing I love more than riding is the jet ski community and the “No Ski Left Behind” culture.

Q&A with Antonio

We sat down with Antonio and picked his brain. From Jay-Z to Mount Dora, we break it down so we can really get to know him.

FLSR: How long have you been riding PWC’s and what got you into the sport?
Antonio: I started riding in 2019. I got into the sport because I needed a new hobby after retiring from the street bike life.

FLSR: How many skis have you owned?
Antonio: I’ve owned 2 skis. My first ski was a 2003 Sea-Doo GTI LE-RFI. My current ski is a 2013 Sea-Doo GTR 215.

FLSR: What model skis do you currently ride?
Antonio: I ride a Sea-Doo GTR 215. It’s a 2013 running clean!

FLSR: Have you modified your skis in any way?
Antonio: I haven’t made any performance mods, but I upgraded my handgrips, installed a LinQ fuel caddy, a LinQ dry bag, and a Garmin GPS.

FLSR: What’s your favorite personal place to ride?
Antonio: Lake Dora Lighthouse in Mount Dora, FL to Silver Springs State Park.

FLSR: What’s your favorite riding snacks?
Antonio: Beef jerky, cheese, mixed nuts, and candy bars.

FLSR: If you could ride with one movie star or celebrity who would it be and why?
Antonio: Jay-Z. I’ve never seen anyone look less cool on a jet ski than Jay-Z, so he’d make me look super cool. LOL. And I’d hope to learn a lot about business and life in general. I’m a big fan.

FLSR: What’s your top 3 most memorable riding areas?
Antonio: In numerical order:
1. Navarre Beach Causeway (Navarre, FL) to Crab Island (Destin, FL)
2. John Pennekamp State Park (Key Largo, FL) to Alligator Reef Lighthouse (Somewhere in the Ocean, FL)
3. Ed Stone Park (Deland, FL) to Silver Glen Springs (Salt Springs, FL).

FLSR: Have you named your skis?
Antonio: Yes, it’s name is “G-Doo”.

FLSR: What’s one place you have on your bucket list to ride?
Antonio: Florida to Bimini, Bahamas.

FLSR: How many hours do you ride each month?
Antonio: About 5 hours in winter months and about 15 to 20 hours the rest of the year.
