About Lake Jocassee

Lake Jocassee is a true treasure, located in northwest South Carolina. This 7,500 acre reservoir was created in 1973 in conjunction with Duke Power. This lake features crystal clear water and is home to breathtaking waterfalls that create a unique scenery as you explore the lake. Devils Fork State Park is the only public ramp access.This 300 foot deep wonder was a town that was suddenly flooded and remnants of it are still underwater. You will see dive flags out where scuba divers try to get a glimpse of what’s there.
